Wonderful tour! Penny was the most attentive tour leader I've ever had - even before the trip, she had a what's app call with us to explain about what egypt is like, what to bring, telling us about all the optional extras etc. We then had a lovely small group throughout the tour and penny took care of everything. I was sick on the desert camping night, so penny organised for a driver to come an hour into the desert at 9pm st night to take me back to town so i could get a good nights sleep in a hotel. I have never been that looked after in other tours. As well as all the main sites you'd expect to see in Egypt, we also went to places that other tours don't go. We had two hours at a pyramid where we were the only people on the whole site. So much better than being with the thousands at Giza. And we went to valley of the whales - amazing to see so many whale fossils in the middle of the desert. And we stayed on a house boat! The highlight for me was the 3 day cruise down the nile. We weren't on some massive crowded boat with 300 people. We had a whole boat just for 12 people, with bedrooms bigger than your bedroom at home, lovely big deck with couches and hammocks, and as many staff looking after us as there were guests. And we had a local guide who could read all the hieroglyphs to us since he had a Phd in them! So if you want a boutique, personalised, luxurious tour at similar prices to other companies big commercial tours, i would definitely recommend travel with penny!
